| DATE | ROUTE | DISTANCE/ASCENT | DETAILS | OS MAP |
| Mon 24 Jan | Benaquallie (494m) | 11km, 300m. | A short straightforward hill but - apologies - walkers must be able to cope with cows and barbed wire. Preferably no dogs. | OS37 Strathdon. |
| Mon 21 Feb | Carn Moine an Tighearn (643m) | 12km, 400m. | A circuit from Inver that may not join up, but will take us into empty country north of Balmoral. Mainly track, some exiguous path. | OS 36/37. |
| Mon 21 Mar | Carn Mor (578m) & Glen Ernan | 11km, 350m. | Mainly good Strathdon track around Edinglassie, but with some offpath on the heathery tops. May have to include a little A road walking. | OS37 Strathdon. |
| Mon 18 Apr | Mudlee Bracks (688m) | 20km, 700m. | A walk along part of the Dee watershed, this starts from Birse Castle and goes south on the Fungle before going offpath to Mudlee Bracks. The circuit continues with some track and some offpath before returning north on track. | OS44 Ballater. |
| Mon 16 May | Monega Hill (908m) | 19km, 600m. | A circular route climbing high above Glen Isla (sadly, also incurring a long drive), on track/path, reaching Little Glas Maol (973m) with possibility of nipping up Glas Maol itself for those who need the Munro fix. | OS43 Braemar. |
| Mon 20 Jun | Sidlaw Hills (455m) | 16km, 400m. | An almost circular route including Gallows Hill, those TV masts you see from the A90, and 2 Iron Age forts. Mainly track/path, with some tarmac. Finish at lovely pub in Glamis. | OS54 Dundee. |
| Mon 11 Jul | Cooks Cairn (755m) | 20km, 500m. | This is that sad thing, a there-and-back walk. Starting from Allanreid in Glen Livet, we follow the River Livet east, passing the derelict Suie Lodge. Visit now before the proposed wind farm is built... | OS37 Strathdon. |
| Mon 22 Aug | Driesh (947m) | 11km, 800m. | This will be an A-B route, ascending Driesh from the steep side, up Shank of Drumfollow, and continuing SE to Cairn Inks and thence descending steeply to our favourite hostelry, the Clova Hotel. | OS44 Ballater. |
| Mon 19 Sep | Morven (871m) | 14km, 570m. | New to me, this will approach from the NE, and will probably include a considerable amount of offpath on ascent and descent, which we will take slowly and carefully, as always. On the plus side, you visit Helen Denerley's Eagle sculpture. May depend on shooting season. | OS37 Strathdon. |
| Mon 17 Oct | Crock (554m) | 13km, 350m. | A varied walk from near Kirkton of Glenisla, on mixed ground, occasional fence, bog etc to deal with, descent is fun, not on much path but not too difficult. Glenmarkie Lodge is of interest. | OS44 Ballater. |
| Mon 21 Nov | Rosehearty to Pennan (coastal) | 10km. | This initially follows the coast on a sometimes demanding path (option to climb barbed wire fence to safety of adjacent field), passing ancient castle and caves, then crosses fields before dropping to Pennan. | OS30 Fraserburgh. |
| Mon 12 Dec | Hill of Rowan (380m) | 8km, 200m. | Easy circular walk from the carpark at Tarfside, Glen Esk, climbing to the Maule monument on top of the low hill, passing through farmland and moor. May include a dodgy bridge... Followed by Xmas lunch in Edzell. | OS44 Ballater. |
