KERLOCH (circular route)
Distance 13km (8mls) Ascent 534m OS map 45
The start point for our walk up Kerloch is 699916 (car parking for 4 cars additional near by). The route follows thorough good forest track and later out onto the open heather covered summit where there is a cairn.
At this point 696879 we can enjoy superb views east towards the sea and westwards to Clachnaben, neighbouring hills and beyond.
Walkers must wear walking boots, carry WARM and waterproof clothing, hat and gloves and take plenty food and liquids. THESE ARE ESSENTIAL. Be prepared for possible wintry conditions and snow on the top whatever the forecast below. Take gaiters if you have them can be quite boggy in some places.
Meet at Culter Village Hall 9.00 am to return around 4pm
