Length:15k 9.25 miles
While Goyle hill can be likened to the Monty Pythons North face of the Uxbridge Road in terms of challenge and technical ability, particularly after new year indulgence ! it is never the less an attractive walk. The route starts at 698799 and continues up through the forest on good track with gradually rising until we reach the trig point at 684820 with nice views over towards Glen Dye Clachnaben and Stonehaven.This is not a difficult walk on forest track and will suit all abilities and get us started again for the new season.
Walkers must wear walking boots, carry warm and waterproof clothing, hat and gloves and take plenty food and liquids. THESE ARE ESSENTIAL. Be prepared for possible wintry icy conditions on the top whatever the forecast.
Transport by bus. Meet Culter Village Hall 8.30am return approx 5pm
