Mill of Sterrin to Littlemill

Distance 18.8km Ascent 204 metres OS map 44

This walk begins at Mill of Sterin (348929) and we follow the River Muick for 7km, passing the falls which are spectacular after heavy rain, until we reach Inchnabobart. We now turn in a North Westerly direction and follow the track for 5.5km. At this point we join the track which leads into Glen Girnock passing many old abandoned settlements on the way to Littlemill (325958). This is one of the loveliest walks in our area. Golden Eagles have been spotted in this glen and the cuckoo can also be heard.

Walkers must wear walking boots, carry WARM and waterproof clothing, hat and gloves and take plenty food and liquids. THESE ARE ESSENTIAL. Be prepared for possible wintry conditions on the top whatever the forecast.
