Cataran Trail (2nd section)

Distance: 15 km. Ascent: 428m

Walk starts at Kirkmichael 079599 (220m) travelling NW to Enochdhu 063628 (260m) through pleasant farmland. After Enochdhu we climb to 460m then through the valley NE and ascend to the highest point of the walk at An Lairig 095684(648m). Descend to the Spittal of Glenshee Hotel. This walk has grand views almost all of the time.

Walkers must wear walking boots, warm and waterproof clothing, hat and gloves and take plenty food and liquids. THESE ARE ESSENTIAL. Be prepared for possible wintry conditions (it may be icy underfoot) whatever the forecast. Gaiters recommended for this walk, as it can be boggy.

Walks Meeting
Reminder to all members the annual walks meeting will take place Thursday 28th October at 7.30pm in Peterculter Sports Centre

The mid month walk to be held on Monday 25th October is Cairn Leuchan and Pannanich Hill, by Ballater (Sheet 44). Please contact the club for details. Walking time approx 4.5 hours

Culter hillwalking club has no members who are qualified leaders or instructors. Therefore anyone volunteering to assist the club on a meet cannot be held responsible for other members' welfare. Members must be aware they are solely responsible for themselves at all times
