SUNDAY 20th March 2005

Strathdon Area OS Map 37

Here is an opportunity for club members to brush up on your map and compass work. This will involve a fair amount of walking off track, mainly heather but no bogs. Depending on the weather there could be some snow, so you will definitely need to wear gaiters. Wear walking boots, warm and waterproof clothing, hat and gloves and take plenty food and liquids. THESE ARE ESSENTIAL.

Time is not an essential part of this exercise, so you will not be rushed. We aim to be finished no later than 4pm.

Meet at Mossat Car Park 9.45am starting at 10am sharp- map reference 476194

Fee TBA - (drivers will be given a mileage allowance, depending on numbers attending)

Call 01224 733707 on Friday 4th March to confirm if still on. If weather forecast is unsuitable, this could be delayed for a week or two.!

Please bring map and compass (club has one spare compass available if required) please do not bring a GPS ! !

If you require transport or are willing drive others please phone 01224 735210 or 07747 178657.
